Brain Plasticity: The Key to Becoming More Resilient
Presented by: Dr. Ralf Greenwald
This presentation will focus on the brain's ability to change. We will discuss the concept of neuroplasticity and how experiences shape brain function and structure. Finally, we will discuss the impacts of stress on brain plasticity and its connection to resilience.
Dr. Ralf Greenwald holds a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is an award-winning teacher who works in the Psychology Department at Central Washington University. Dr. Greenwald is the director of the Brain Dynamics and Cognitive Neuroscience lab at CWU and studies the brain processes of various cognitive phenomena, including working memory, attention, the brain processes of various cognitive phenomena, including working memory, attention, and music cognition. He also serves as the director for the Experimental Psychology Graduate program at CWU.
