ELLENSBURG, Wash. (April 8, 2013) — Central Washington University will welcome all fall 2013 admitted first-year and transfer students to the Ellensburg campus for Wildcat Day, Saturday, April 13.
The event, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., will welcome those students to CWU’s campus community, provide them with information about the wide variety of academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular opportunities available to them, and answer other questions they may have.
“Wildcat Day is an opportunity for us to roll out the crimson carpet to our prospective students and families,” said Richard DeShields, CWU associate dean of Student Living. “As the first phase of our orientation program, we believe that students will see that Central is their university of choice once they visit this first-year-experience event.”
More than 1,800 people—including students, parents, and guests—took part in Wildcat Day last year.
“We’re expecting 2,000 visitors to come to campus this year,” DeShields added.
