Congratulations Jake Funkhouser and Samantha Jones!

On January 18th, 2018, graduate students, Samantha Jones and Jake Funkhouser both received the Graduate Student Research Support Award, which will help fund their theses research that they conducted in spring and summer of 2017. 

Samantha's grant will assist her research, titled "Interspecies Comparisons of Captive Gibbons "Hylobatidae' Interpair Behaviors Indicitave of the Pair Bond ". Jake's grant will fund his research, titled "Re-evaluating Captive Chimpanzee Dominance: The Importance of Rank Reliability and Cross-Context Predictability".

The Graduate Student Research Support Award is partially funded by the School of Graduate Students and Research at Central Washington University. Students can apply for this grant through Graduate Studies with deadlines during the months of April and November. For more details please visit
