CURRENT STRATEGIC PLAN:

Central Washington University's current strategic plan was developed in 2001 to guide the university for the period from 2001-2006. The plan was based on the university's Mission and Vision and on its Core Values and established six primary Goals and a number of subsidiary goals. The university has made considerable progress toward meeting the goals and has been particularly effective in addressing the subsidiary goals. Part of the success of the strategic plan was the considerable involvement of the university and surrounding communities in establishing the subsidiary goals that accompany each of the six primary goals.

STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE:

Now it's time to update and renew the plan. The president has worked with her cabinet and members of the Board of Trustees to affirm the primary goals for the last half of the decade and beyond. To assist the university in deciding What's Next and in establishing subsidiary goals, members of the campus community responded to a survey. The results of the survey are summarized as overarching themes.
