Emergency Management

The goal of CWU Emergency Management is to minimize the effects of emergencies and disasters on CWU students, faculty, staff and property, as well as the surrounding community through comprehensive planning and preparedness.

This is accomplished by utilizing a comprehensive, all-hazards framework that drives preparedness for emergencies and disasters through the phases of Prevention, Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation.

CWU Emergency Management works with divisions, offices, and departments to establish procedures, plans, training, and offers to assist with exercises related to emergencies and disasters.   Additionally, CWU Emergency Management works with neighboring jurisdictions, state, federal, and non-goverment stakeholders to improve plans and prepare for emergencies and disasters.

The threats and hazards listed on this site are to provide information to departments, offices, and divisions to establish emergency and disaster plans and procedures.

If you have questions, suggestions, or need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.
