Physics classes I have taught:

  • Physics Inquiry (PHYS106)
  • Introductory Astronomy (PHYS101/102)
  • Introductory Physics (PHYS111/112/113)
  • General Physics (PHYS181/182/183)
  • Introductory/General Physics Laboratory
  • Modern Physics (PHYS317/318)
  • Senior Assessment (PHYS489)

Research Interests

I am currently working on a three year National Science Foundation Teacher Preparation Continuum grant to study preservice and inservice teachers views of science. Our team has developed a survey to ascertain views related to the nature of scientific knowledge and theories. We will also observe k-8 teachers to determine what views of science are portrayed in their classrooms.
