Tibetan Buddhist monk Zachoeje Rinpoche will give a public talk in the Sanctuary of the Unitarian Universalist Church at 225 N. 2nd St. in Yamima on Friday, October 19th beginning at 7:00 PM. Please enter through the back door of the church off the parking lot. Suggested donation for the public talk is $10.00. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
The Bodhi Center of Yakima is dedicated to sharing Tibetan Buddhism.
The Bodhi Center is open on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 PM for chanting,
meditation and discussion. Throughout the year the Venerable Zachoeje
Rinpoche travels to Yakima to give teachings at the Bodhi Center.
Venerable ZaChoeje Rinpoche is the spiritual advisor of the Bodhi
Center of Yakima. In 1984, His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama
recognized him as the sixth reincarnation of ZaChoeje Rinpoche, one
of the highest Buddhist Lamas of Eastern Tibet. At the age of 16
Rinpoche entered Drepung Loseling Monastary and after ten years of
study graduated with the esteemed Geshe Lharampa degree, equal to a
Ph.D summa cum laude in Tibetan Buddhism. Rinpoche then entered the
Gyumed Tantric Monastary for further study.
