ORCHESIS DANCE COMPANY, Central Washington University’s dance performance company presents its annual spring Dance Concert on May 31, and June1 & 2, in the McConnell Auditorium on the CWU campus at 7:30 pm each evening. 

The 30+ member company brings a wide range of dance styles to the performance including modern, jazz, ballet, tap and tango.

This year the Orchesis show features a variety of modern works including three solos performed by graduating Dance minor students, Masha Brown, Rachel Heikkila and Megan Zelenak.  Returning company member Jelani Kee, presents two pieces of choreography ranging from contemporary to jazz styled burlesque.   The show ends on an upbeat note with a rendition from “Hairspray” including guest performers from the Musical Theatre Program.

Doors will open for the audience at 7:00. Tickets are $10.00 for general admission, $8.00 for Seniors/Students and $5.00 for CWU Students with ID.  Tickets are available at the door or online at http://www.cwu.edu/tickets/.

The performance is co-produced by the Physical Education, School & Public Health (PESPH) Department and the Theater Department.
