Your Orientation Experiences
We encourage you to utilize the many resources available and call if you are unable to find an answer. Many students are the first in their family to go to college and we want to help you be successful.
CENTRAL 301: Your Orientation and Transition Portal
CENTRAL 301 is your guide during your transition to CWU. This portal will expose you to campus resources and prepare you for your first quarter by providing deadlines and action items. These resources and services will ensure your transition to Central Washington University is seamless. You will be added to CENTRAL 301 the day after you accept your offer of admissions! You can register for Links Orientation at the end of the CENTRAL 301 course. This will grant you priority access to register for classes!

Upon confirmation of your offer of admission you will be automatically added to CENTRAL 301 through an overnight process.

CWU-Des Moines is a partnership with Highline College that provides classes based on community/workforce demand and programs that help students and working professionals earn degrees and certification in a variety of fields through undergraduate or online options.

CWU-Joint Base Lewis-McChord
CWU-JBLM is located at the Stone Education Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) in Tacoma, Washington. Active duty military, veterans and their family members, as well as Reservist and Guardsmen, can now earn a bachelor’s degree or certificate at a public university on base.

Its high value programs draw students from north King and Snohomish Counties who have completed the first two years of their Bachelor's degree at one of the area's community colleges and want to complete their bachelor's degree close to where they live and work.

CWU-Sammamish is an instructional site that provides general education undergraduate classes, which are open to the public. High school students are welcome to apply to the Running Start program, which allows eligible high school juniors and seniors to enroll in tuition-free college courses to earn both high school and college credits.
