Sustainability Updates:

January 17, 2018 Sustainability Cafe Part Two!

In a follow up to the sustainability cafe held on November 2017, students, faculty and staff joined forces once more to create realistic implementation plans for campus sustainability in 2018. The turnout was much more than expected. Thank you to all involved!

We as a campus are fortunate to have so many members of our community passionate about this cause, who are willing to take time out of their day to collaborate and be the driving factors that create real change on this campus. Goals for campus sustainability consist of drastically reducing plastic water bottle usage, composting, bike lanes on campus connected roads, and water conservation efforts. We look forward to see what everyone is able to accomplish this year!

We will continue on our goal to create funding for a full-time sustainability coordinator.

Sustainability Cafe - Part One

November 2017

The campus wide Sustainability Café on November 16, 2017 hosted by Operations Division in the SURC Ballroom was a huge success. We would like to thank everyone who put in the time to make this event happen.

Our café allowed faculty, staff and students to collaborate and brainstorm future improvements in a variety of areas including Buildings & Grounds, Waste Management, Renewable Energy, Transportation, Education, and Purchasing. Those in attendance were also informed on improvements that are already underway.
