Every Tuesday (Noon-2pm), Black Hall 141 - Drop in, no registration needed.  Want to get started with Panopto lecture capture or need to refresh your memory on how to use the Canvas gradebook?  Stop by and get your questions answered by a Panopto or Canvas specialist!

Workshop Descriptions

Intro to CanvasLearn to customize your Canvas course details, create a profile, and update your settings and notifications.  You will also learn how to upload documents and create assignments.

Save Time Grading: Canvas Assignments, Rubrics and SpeedGrader:  Learn how to save time grading, by using assignments with online submissions, Canvas rubric tools and weighted grades.  Let the Speedgrader work for you, by using the inline grading tools.   

Online Tests & Respondus: During this hands-on workshop, you will create a quiz in Word, that can be uploaded to Canvas via Respondus 4.0. Bring your own quiz questions, or use one of our examples.  Learn how to utilize quiz settings in Canvas following best practices, to maximize the integrity of online quizzes.  

Organize Your Course With Modules: Simplify the navigation and organization of your course for students with the use of modules. Modules hold assignments, files, web links, and wiki pages. They can be locked or require sequential completion.

Introducing Panopto Lecture Capture:  Participants will explore the Panopto interface, getting hands-on instruction on how to record a lecture that includes video, audio and presentation slides.  They will also learn basic editing and how to add recorded sessions to their Canvas courses

Universal Design & Accessibility:  Learn how to design your course with accessibility and usability in mind.  Universal design benefits all students and provides a framework of best practices to help you deliver a successful online course.
