Mission of University Enterprise Team

The University Enterprise team was created as a governance structure for our systems and services related to technology.  The team works in collaboration with the President and Cabinet to provide administrative oversight and decision-making to ensure Information Services technology decisions align with Central Washington University goals.  The team is supported by sub-councils (academic and non-academic), advisory teams (permanent and ad hoc), and task forces.

Charge:

  • Develop long and short term informational service strategic plans for the University.
     
  • Develop the following processes for all projects:  evaluation, prioritization, quality control.
     
  • Guide and direct the development of policies, procedures and projects related to CWU’s information systems/services.
     
  • Oversee the management of data and data security.
     
  • Review and recommend the elimination of redundant systems.
     
  • Ensure that CWU reviews and keeps current with technology changes in the information systems area. 
     
  • Prior to purchase, review software additions, changes to system configurations, and projects involving software and/or hardware (with the exception of personal computers and related peripherals (such as laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, monitors)  FOR MORE Information please refer to the information contained under  “Information for Purchasers of Hardware/Software
