Junior accounting student, Jacqueline Korn, was named the 2013 CWU Student Employee of the Year. Korn, who works in the office of Grants, Contracts, Investments, and Fixed Assets Accounts, was nominated by her supervisor, John Ebenal.
“Jacqueline is a first class accountant and has far exceeded expectations as a student assistant,” said Ebenal in his nomination. “She is a great problemsolver; her job challenges her to think outside the box.
“She is not afraid to ask questions and takes the initiative to find the information she needs to do her job.”
Korn is now eligible for the state Student Employee of the Year Award. A 2010 graduate of Bothell High School, Korn plans to pursue a fifth-year Master of Professional Accountancy degree.
