Alisyn Christensen, conductor and oboist, holds a B.A. in Music from Luther College (Decorah, IA). While attending college, Alisyn participated in the Symphonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and Concert Band, as well as various small ensembles. After graduating, she held a private oboe studio in Tacoma and taught general elementary music in the Kent School District for three years. She also works with the Tacoma Youth Symphony Association as their music librarian and oboe coach during the season, as well its summer camp (Evergreen Music Festival). Alisyn has played with the Seattle Modern Orchestra, Philharmonia Northwest, Lake Chelan Bach Festival, Seattle Rock Orchestra, and Everett Philharmonic Orchestra. Currently, Alisyn is in the second year of her Masters degree program at Central Washington University. She is studying Orchestral Conducting with Dr. Nikolas Caoile.

Bret Smith is a teacher educator, conductor, and cellist who specializes in instrumental music education. He holds degrees in music and systematic musicology from the University of Washington, where he worked with James C. Carlsen and Barbara Reeder Lundquist, and a Master of Music and Doctor of Philosophy in music education from the University of Michigan, where his mentors were Robert L. Culver, James O. Froseth, Richard J. Colwell, and Anthony Elliott.
