The hard work of the Prep Summer Strings musicians will be showcased on Saturday, August 17th at 11:30 a.m. in the CWU Music Building Concert Hall. The concert will be free of charge.
REGISTRATIONS ACCEPTED ON A
Ages 8 and up. Students will learn the basics of violin, viola, cello, or bass. This class will be taught by Nancy Chott.
For string students with one or two years of experience. This orchestra will be conducted by Kara Hunnicutt.
For students with three or more years of experience. This orchestra will be conducted by Bret Smith, PhD.
All full-day students will participate in small chamber ensembles of three to eight musicians. Their rehearsals will be led by a faculty coach. The students will perform in a special concert during the Friday afternoon chamber music time.
Ages 5-7. Students will participate in music activities including rhythm, singing, movement, and violin.
Time: 9:00 a.m.-noon
Parents and community members, have you ever wanted to learn a string instrument? Now is the time!
