Bartered Brides, Merry Wives and Old Maids - The CWU Music Department is proud to present its brightest vocal talent in a wide array of operatic scenes fully staged and presented in English. The performances will feature scenes from the comic operas, The Bartered Bride by Smetana, Merry Wives of Windsor by Nicolai, Falstaff by Verdi and Martha by Flotow. The evening will span the operatic repertoire including Prologue from the early Baroque opera, The Coronation of Poppea by Monteverdi, the Card Trio from Carmen by Bizet and a less performed scene from Beatrice et Benedict by Berlioz.
