Central Washington University (CWU) is the perfect place for summer music camps. Perfect not only because of its location in Ellensburg right in the heart of the state, but also because of its beautiful historic campus, state-of-the-art facilities, excellent residential halls and exceptional food service. The CWU campus has a long history of hosting music events and summer workshops. The CWU music department has a proud heritage of preparing music education students to not only enter their profession but also to succeed in their profession. Because CWU is the center of music education in the state of Washington, we are motivated to offer this camp to inspire young musicians and to make a difference in their musical lives.
The band camps at CWU have a simple philosophy: making music is FUN – especially when it is shared with close friends in a beautiful, safe place, and mixed with a variety of enjoyable recreational activities. The CWU band camp offers a perfect mix of music, recreation, and fun for all.
