Audition Registration

Auditions for Fall 2021 entrance to the CWU Music Program will primarily be done via online submission through GetAcceptd.com. However, some areas will be offering an in-person audition option. If your particular primary instrument is offering live auditions, the form will provide you that option.

In person audition dates will be in late January, again, the form will reveal available dates as applicable. It is important you complete the form below regardless of which audition modality you choose. Please exercise care when completing the form, being certain all information is accurate and complete before submitting. Please, only submit one registration. If you intend to audition in two areas, please include your second area in the "Scheduling Comments" box. If a need to edit your submission info arises, please contact our main office at 509-963-1216. It is also important to note in order to be considered for department scholarships you should audition before Feb. 1st, though we always do our best to present scholarships to students who audition later, if possible.

Please complete this form, but all auditions for this instrument will initially be done through GetAcceptd.com.

Will you be coming to CWU for a live, in-person, audition or will you be submitting your audition virtually via GetAcceptd.com?
Only answer "Yes" if you have music theory credits you wish to transfer from your previous school.

BM Music Education

The music education program offers three different specializations that lead to K-12 certification, Choral, Instrumental and Broad. While general music is common to all three programs, the broad area degree leads to certification in all three areas.

BM Performance

The Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Performance requires extensive coursework that includes courses of Applied Music, Music Theory, Music History, Pedagogy, Literature, Ensembles, and completion of both a Junior and Senior Recital.

BA Music

The Bachelor of Arts in Music degree allows students to obtain extensive musical knowledge and experience in a liberal arts setting. Students pursuing a BA in Music complete extensive coursework that includes courses of Applied Music, Music Theory, Music History, Ensembles, and a broad array of general education subjects. This degree is ideal for those students wishing to major in music, but do not necessarily want to teach music in the classroom or pursue a performance career.
