Thank you for considering the Central Washington University Music program. Our Music Department has earned a reputation for being one of the top university music departments in the Northwest. We have earned this reputation by building a magnificent facility to house the department and it's amazing music faculty members, who are actively involved in their profession and dedicated to the success of their students as well as being recognized as the region’s top music educators and conductors.
Education and performance opportunities abound with over 30 ensembles and student groups. The more than 300 music majors that call CWU home have the opportunity to choose from a variety of degrees in music that include the Bachelor of Music degree in music performance, music education, composition and the Bachelor of Arts degree in music and in jazz. Graduate students can choose a Master Degree in music for in-depth study in an area of specialization or our flexible, new on-line Master of Music in Music Education.
