CWU students teach jazz band at Morgan

At 7 a.m. on a November day in Ellensburg, the weather is not warm, and neither are the instruments.

But as the Morgan Middle School jazz band students go up and down a D minor scale, Central Washington University student Tanner Cornell noticed one student’s mind was starting to wake up.

“Don’t we have a song in D minor?” the trumpet player asked.
