CWU’s renowned Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra combine to present one of the best known works in the history of Music – Handel’s oratorio – Messiah on April 27, at 4 p.m. in the McIntyre Music Building Concert Hall.
First performed in April of 1742 – Messiah was conducted by Handel 15 or more times before he passed away in 1759. The oratorio has since been performed many thousands of times around the world.
The 2 hour 20 minute work will be presented in its entirety with all solos performed by singers who sing in the Chamber Choir. General admission tickets are $15 and $8 for seniors, children, and CWU students with ID. Tickets are available online, www.cwu.edu/music, or at the door.
