Central Singers, a non-auditioned group, is open to all who like to sing and usually is comprised of between 25 and 40 singers. The group rehearses one-hour weekly, making it ideal for those people who like to sing but don’t have a lot of time to devote to it.
The group is traditionally conducted by a Graduate Teaching assistant and, like all of Central’s Choirs, repertoire varies from all historical periods and styles, Central Singers typically includes about half non majors, the other half are welcoming and helpful music majors.
The groups sings one concert per quarter and consistently impresses concert audiences with its preparation and musicality.
