The Multimodal Education Center is proud to offer a series of workshops for faculty at CWU centered on the creation of instructional materials and assignments. Offered (almost) every Thursday at 3 pm, faculty can choose to attend virtually through Zoom or in-person in Samuelson 126 (registration for either is required). Faculty who complete 5 workshops over the course of the year and submit 5 short portfolio pieces demonstrating their mastery of the workshops will receive a digital "Proficiency in Design of Multimodal Instructional Materials" badge, issued from Multimodal, to add to their evidence of professional development. Each workshop is approximately 50 minutes, synchronous and aimed at providing faculty quick, focused instruction on using tools, like Adobe products, to expand their ability to create their own instructional materials, develop new multimodal assignements and curicula, and engage with new technologies. All workshops will be recorded and made available a week after their synchronous offerings.
