Stipend and Benefits
Central Washington University provides our doctoral psychology interns with a generous benefits package that includes health insurance (medical/dental), retirement benefits (with optional cashout at end of internship).The stipend for interns is $36,400.
Interns have 200 hour of vacation and 96 hours of sick time, in addition to university paid holidays. Consistent with their status as full staff members, approved leave time is “counted” toward the 2000 hour requirement. Leave above and beyond allotted time (e.g., for a serious illness, family emergency, etc.) will not be counted in the accrued hours. In this event, a plan would be developed with the individual intern to “make up” the hours. If an intern wishes to leave the site before August 31st, vacation leave hours must be used for those days. Interns must have no more than 16 hours of vacation remaining at the end of internship.
