Having the following courses completed before arriving at CWU would be very helpful to ensure timely completion of your degree requirements.

B.S. in Mathematics:

  • Two quarters of single-variable calculus (CWU Math 172 & 173)
  • Two quarters of multi-variable calculus (CWU Math 272 & 273)
  • Linear Algebra (CWU Math 265)
  • Statistics (CWU Math 311)
  • One year of calculus-based Physics (CWU Phys 181, 182, 183 + Labs)

B.A. in Mathematics Teaching Secondary:

  • Two quarters of single-variable calculus (CWU Math 172 & 173)
  • Two quarters of multi-variable calculus (CWU Math 272 & 273)
  • Linear Algebra (CWU Math 265)
  • Statistics pre-requisite course (CWU Math 130)

B.S. in Mathematics Actuarial Science:

  • Two quarters of single-variable calculus (CWU Math 172 & 173)
  • Two quarters of multi-variable calculus (CWU Math 272 & 273)
  • Linear Algebra (CWU Math 265)
  • Statistics (CWU Math 311)
  • Intro to Microeconomics (CWU Econ 201)
  • Intro to Macroeconomics (CWU Econ 202)
  • Into to Accounting (CWU Acct 251)
