The mission of the School of Graduate Studies and Research is to prepare graduate students for enlightened, responsible, and productive lives. The School facilitates the community of scholars among faculty and students; encourages the advancement of knowledge and service through innovation, research, and creative expression; and oversees sponsored research and active research programs.
We work with graduate students, faculty, scholars, and departments to promote and support graduate education, creative expression, scholarship and research; recruit, admit, support, and matriculate qualified students of all racial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds; assess and assure the excellence of CWU graduate programs; and work in concert with the Graduate Council to strengthen and review programs, policies, faculty development, and academic standards.
