- Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute (CHCI)
Provides sanctuary to a family of signing chimpanzees, encourages, through education, respect for our fellow apes, and promotes quality, humane research through student internship opportunities and community outreach.
- Center for Spatial Information (CSI)
Coordinates and enhances the application of established and emerging technologies to create, manage and analyze spatial information - that is, information related to places or position.
- GEAR UP MOSAIC (Moving Our Students Academically into College and Careers)
Designed to increase the number of low-income students from the Okanogan Valley who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education.
- McNair Scholars Program
The mission of the CWU McNair Scholars Program is to help low-income, first generation college students and students underrepresented in graduate education, reach their goals of attaining doctoral degrees.
- Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
Engages persons 55 and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs and provides a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers and those they serve.
- Undergraduate Research
Provides funding for undergraduate research and creative activities and supports the annual Symposium on University Research and Creative Expression (SOURCE).
- Wenas Creek Mammoth Project
A Central Washington University (CWU) scientific investigation of mammoth bones found on private land in the Wenas Creek Valley near Selah, Washington. The investigation is interdisciplinary, using methods from paleontology, archaeology, and geography. The goal of the project is careful scientific recovery of bones and associated artifacts, while placing the finds into appropriate context of physical geography. The project includes summer excavations offered as field schools, public site tours, presentations, and volunteer opportunities.
