The Art and Science of Getting and Managing Grants

The office of Research and Sponsored Programs in the School of Graduate Studies and Research is pleased to announce the debut of its formal training program, The Art and Science of Getting and Managing Grants.
From idea development to close-out, six sessions focused on various aspects of the life cycle of getting and managing grants to support your scholarly activities will be offered with the goal of strengthening your ability to get and manage external funding. See the table below for more details.

The first session offered is GRT001: Compliance Awareness, scheduled for Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in Science II 206. Our goal is to provide comprehensive grant life-cycle training on a regular basis. CWU’s Central Learning Academy will facilitate registration and record-keeping for the sessions. To register, log in to MyCWU>> Employee Tab>> Training Folder>> Request Training Enrollment.

Due to increasing federal compliance and regulatory requirements, note that two of the six sessions are mandatory. Compliance Awareness is required for prospective and funded principal investigators and co-principal investigators. Managing Awards is required for funded principal investigators and co-principal investigators. Both of these courses will be valid for four years.
