Theatre Major Studies Shakespeare in London

A Ticket to Study Theatre in LondongTheatre arts major Kylie Rose will spend her senior year in London studying Shakespearean and Jacobean theatre, thanks to the Dr. Betty Evans $35,000 scholarship established to honor the memory of the CWU theatre arts professor.

Rose was raised on "musty books and enthusiastic family sing-a-longs," in Kelso and is earning a bachelor of fine arts in performance.

"I've always loved Shakespeare, so this is a dream come true," said Rose.

Rose has accepted an offer from Richmond, the American International University in London. She has been awarded a $15,000 Presidential Scholarship that she can use for room and board, along with a place in their sixth year Performance and Theatre Arts program.
