41st Annual Yakima River Cleanup
Join the CLCE in this effort with the Bureau of Land Management, the City of Ellensburg, Fish and Wildlife, and Mid-Columbia Fisheries to clean up the Yakima River and the surrounding Ellensburg community!
Explore one of the most exciting landscapes in Central Washington while participating in a longstanding CWU legacy. For the past 41 years, hundreds of CWU students and community members have joined together to clean and protect the Yakima River Canyon and surrounding Ellensburg community. The partnership with BLM and Fish & Wildlife brings opportunities for trail maintenance, campsite renovation, and litter clean up.
Check in will be at the SURC East Patio at 9:30 AM. Transportation and equipment will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes.
“Breakfast of Champions” will be provided before heading to their clean-up locations and pizza will be provided upon their return..
