Start your CWU experience with ELP
The Experience Leadership Program (ELP) provides incoming CWU students the opportunity to make connections with campus resources and other incoming students, as well as reflecting and developing personal leadership styles. One week before classes begin, students that attend ELP will move into their residence hall early, and create connections over a four day adventure full of leadership, connections, friends, and memories in the Cascade mountains at Camp Ghormley.
Registration will open in summer 2020!
What to Expect at ELP
Going into your first college experience may be intimidating; however, attending ELP is the first step to making your transition into this new chapter in your life much easier. First things first, you get the opportunity to move-in early! College move-in day is always hectic, however, you will receive the opportunity to move in early before the larger crowd of CWU students move in. You will be moving in alongside your peers participating in ELP, allowing a smaller group to move-in with.
Cost and Registration
The cost for ELP is $180 per student, which includes all meals, all supplies, an ELP t-shirt, transportation, lodging at Camp Ghormley, and early move in costs. Registration is limited and occurs on a first come, first serves basis, and registration closes on August 31, 2020. Payments will be taken via a secure web payment.
We pride ourselves in staying inclusive and respectful to provide the best experience for every student. If you require any accommodation, please contact CLCE@cwu.edu to make appropriate arrangements.
