From April 25-29, ten LAJ Club students traveled to Las Vegas. Accompanied by Sue Armstrong and Teresa Francis, they were grateful recipients of tours of Clark County Detention Center, Las Vegas Metro Police Department Headquarters. We were allowed a behind-the-scenes look at the security areas and protocols of one of Vegas' newer casinos - Aria. This portion of the trip was arranged through the generous efforts of UNLV Professor Tamara Madensen, who joined us along with ten of her honor students for the tour. The group also made their way to the Red Rock Canyon for hiking, as well as Hoover Dam and Tillman Bridge. The trip was capped off with a memorable tour through the Mob Museum.
