III. Monday, October 8, 6:00- 8:00 pm. Through The Prism Of Tango—Interactive Presentation by Gabriela Condrea: “When 1+1=1: That Impossible Connection: the intersections between tango and life." Book Presentation and Dancing. Hertz Hall, 122.
IV. Wednesday, October 10, Thursday, October 11: In conjunction with CWU Center for Diversity and Social Justice, CWU- CLLAS presents Ms. Christina López, Latina Author and Feminist Activist. Lecture: Estamos en la lucha: Immigrant Women Workers Light the Fire of Resistance: Wednesday, October 10, 5:30pm, Science Bldg., Room 147. She will be also available for class meetings and student group meetings.
V. Wednesday, October 24 and Thursday, Thursday, October 25: Visit of Mr. Erim Gomez, M.S. Mr. Gomez is a prominent Latino McNair Scholar and a Bullitt Environmental Fellow. He is currently working with a $100,000 research grant on Endangered Species Laboratory: School of the Environment, Washington State University, Ph. D Candidate in Biology at Washington State University.
* Mr. Erim Gómez will be available to meet with CWU Faculty, students and administrators during his two- day visit to CWU. He will be available for class meetings and student group meetings. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet an inspiring Latino scholar!
VI. Wednesday, October 31 and Thursday, November 1. Mexican Cultural Celebration: The Day of The Dead: Altares y Ofrendas. CWU Latino students’ collaborative artwork to be displayed on campus and in Ellensburg. Ms. Joan Cawley-Crane, Art Dpt. Faculty, Coordinator of the event.
