Purpose: To provide a single point of contact for the most current information on both planned and unplanned outages of university processes including, but not limited to, GroupWise email, Peoplesoft, network connections, and telephone connections.
Post on intranet by lead (intranet can include any or all of the following: an announcement, the outage list and/or the tech bytes)
The purpose of the outage
The time and duration
What processes are affected
Notify Help Desk
Help Desk is notified automatically when an outage is posted on the intranet.
