Microsoft Word Tips & Tricks

Description:  Microsoft Word is a very powerful word processing program.  Have you often felt that there was probably a shortcut, or a trick, to make using it easier? We will demonstrate such features as the Format Painter, turning on non-printing symbols, using tables and other page layout options. This class will be taught in the latest versions of Word (2010 on the PC and 2011 for the Mac).

Prerequisites: Understand the basics of Word.

You can view the new features of Word 2013 with hands-on examples by opening the program and then clicking on the Take a tour icon in the right-hand pane of the window. You can also get free training for Microsoft Office programs for the PC (limited Mac classes) via the Microsoft IT Academy. Instructions for setting up an account, logging on to the Microsoft IT Academy and a class list are available via the My CWU Links menu in MyCWU.
