Remote Access - VPN/Network Drives

Important: VPN Access will only work from off campus. 
Before accessing the VPN Client you need to have requested access to the VPN Network.  You can follow this link to request access: VPN Access Request Form


Step One: To load the new VPN Client, open an internet browser and click the address below.  Login with your CWU username and password.  (MFA is required if enabled on your account)

Step Two: Download the VPN client appropriate for your system (Currently supporting Windows and MacOS).


Step Three: Install the client using default choices.

Below is what you should see to start the manual installation process.

 Follow the installation steps until you come to the window bellow and click Close.


Step Four: Once the installation is complete, find and start the Open GlobalProtect client from start menu or system tray.  Connect to VPN (Gateway address is remote.cwu.edu).  Login using your MyCWU credentials again (MFA for a second time)


Step Five: Once connected, you should see the following page:

This means you have successfully connected via VPN.
