I am excited to be teaching as an Instructor for the Information Technology and Administrative Management (ITAM) Department at Central Washington University.  I have been teaching with the ITAM Department on and off for fifteen plus years.  I received my Bachelors and Master’s Degree through Central Washington University in Business and Marketing Education.  In addition, I have received my Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director credentials through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and Central Washington University.  I have been teaching business courses at the secondary level for the past 20 years; the last ten years, of which, have been at Ellensburg High School.  Through my 20 years of teaching, I have grown professionally as well as personally.  I have taught many different business education subjects which include; Computer Applications, Web Page Design, Digital Art, Publishing (high school yearbook), Microsoft Office User Specialist, Accounting, School Store, Business Procedures and Business Law.  I have been involved with Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at the local, region, and state levels and am currently starting a new chapter of DECA at Ellensburg High School.

I have taken every opportunity to provide students with courses that enable them to explore career options, leadership roles, achieve basic academic skills; as well as, life skills to prepare them for post-secondary education and/or the workplace.  I am an individual who always strives to be up-to-date and relevant with current teaching practices and technology.  I attend many professional development workshops and professional organization conferences throughout the year to maintain relevancy in my classroom/courses.  I am an individual who is dedicated, honest, appreciative, and passionate about Career and Technical Education.

On a personal note, I have been married to my loving husband for nineteen years and we have three beautiful daughters all of whom I admire and adore.  I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and (if there is ever some down time) reading a good romance book with a nice glass of wine.
