I am currently an Instructor of Business Education and Information Technology at Central Washington University. I received my BS in Business Education and Masters in Business and Marketing Education from Central Washington University through the ITAM Department. I have taught business courses at multiple Washington state high schools as well as instructing courses through CWU in the Computer Science and ITAM Departments. I have also worked for the Fort Carson Education Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado assisting soldiers in acquiring and maintaining their educational assistance for college and giving direction in their course plans. I have previously been employed by the CWU Admissions office and the Fred Meyer Corporation.
My motivation for teaching is knowing that my courses can influence a student's future, not only in college, but in their future careers. The ability to create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and maintain databases gives students the competitive edge in the modern job market. The skills learned in application courses will impact a student's employment opportunities and enrich their. résumés.
When taking an online course, it is important to stay connected to the instructor though email and/or other communication forums. If you are unsure of what your assignment is, always ask questions. Having clarification is better than assuming you know what is expected by the instructor.
