International Student Orientation

The International Student Orientation is a program for all newly-admitted international students at Central Washington University's (CWU) Ellensburg campus. It is offered by the Office of International Studies & Programs, in cooperation with many other CWU offices. International Student Orientation includes various mandatory and non-mandatory educational sessions and social activities to prepare you for life at Central.

 

Ellensburg Fall International Orientation Dates:

  • September 13, 2017: International Student Move-In
  • September 14-15, 2017: International Student Orientation

Fall 2017

  • Des Moines: July 25
  • Lynnwood/Everett: July 26
  • Pierce: July 27
  • Moses Lake: July 19

Winter 2018

  • Des Moines: December 5
  • Lynnwood/Everett: December 6
  • Pierce: December 7
  • Moses Lake: December 4

International Student Orientation is Important To International Student Success

International student success at CWU begins with International Student Orientation. Orientation is designed to help you:

  • Adjust to academic and social life at CWU
  • Comply with government regulations pertaining to your stay in the U.S.
  • Learn about on-campus and off-campus resources and support services
  • Learn how to navigate the physical environment of the campus
  • Become comfortable with the local community and U.S. culture
  • Meet new people and make friends from around the world
