Roommate Mixer(First week on campus)This is a great chance for you to interact with your roommate and to meet other AUAP roommates. Bond with your roommate as we play fun games followed by cookies and other refreshments.
AUAP Friend Game Night (Early March)CWU students interested in meeting AUAP students come to play games and hang out together. Learn some American games and tech Japanese games to your new friends!
Campus Friend Reception (Early March)You will be introduced to your Campus Friend at an ice cream social. Thi is a great chance to chat with your new friend and get to know each other.
Community Friend Reception (Late March)You will be introduced to your Community Friends and have a chance to talk ith and get to know them at this exciting event
American Studies Field Trip (Mid-March during CWU Spring Break)Take a trip south of Ellensburg to learn more about life in Central Washington from Native American times, through the time of early settlers, all the way up to the present.
Seattle Mariners Game (Mid-May)Cheer on your favorite Mariners players as you attend a Mariners baseball game at Safeco Field in Seattle.
CWU Friend Farewell Pizza Party (Late May - Early June)You will have a chance to invite roommates, Campus & Community Friends, and anyone else who has been a special part of your experience to share in an evening of fun, student entertainment, and pizza. This is an evening designed for you to say goodbye and thank you to all of your CWU friends.
Horseback Riding (Late June - Early July)Learn to ride a horse and explore nature on your own trusty steed. Yee-haw!
AUAP Camping (Early July)Enjoy nature by camping at one of Washington State´s great campgrounds. This is a great opportunity to romp through the forests, sit around a campfire, and spend the night under the stars.
Farewell BanquetThe final banquet is for AUAP students and staff only. It is a special time for remembering the good times that we all shared. There will be a formal dinner, followed by a closing ceremony with speeches, entertainment, and the presentation of certificates.
