Mark your calendars! Tom Sweeney, EAP Representative, will be on campus Thursday, January 24 to do an orientation and presentation in the SURC Theater from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is free and open to all faculty and staff. From 1:30 to 2:00, Tom will provide an overview of EAP. Then, he will do a presentation in change and stress in the workplace. EAP Orientation
A training on general information about the EAP and how to access no-charge, confidential services available for all state employees, and their family members and significant others. The EA Professional will discuss the various kinds of resources and help EAP offers - from personal to workplace issues. The presentation usually ends with questions and answers.
Managing Workplace Change & Stress
Stress presentations discuss cumulative stress factors that have been experienced as a result of stressful conditions in the world and the State workplace. Causes and signs of stress, the dangers of ignoring stress, and various remedies and self-care techniques are discussed. Presentations address fears many have about the future and normalize appropriate feelings. Stress workshops generally create active participation and responses.
