The Center for Student Empowerment, Early Childhood Learning Center and Family Studies have teamed together with funding from the President's Spheres of Distinction to create the Family Friendly Initiative for Central Washington University. The Family Friendly Initiative has raised awareness about family accessibility needs on campus. Since its inception this year, the campus now has a new family friendly map, lactation stations, changing stations and high chairs available in campus meal areas. The Family Friendly Initiative is also working diligently on the creation of universal signage to help identify family-friendly locations on campus.
