Inclement Weather

When an employee is absent for work due to inclement weather, the employee shall have the option of charging the absence to paid leave or leave without pay. If paid leave is submitted, it must be submitted in the following order:

  1. Accrued compensation time
  2. Vacation or a full day of personal holiday
  3. Sick leave, up to three days within a year

NOTE: An emergency hotline phone number, 963-2345, is available for staff and students. It will be updated by 6:45 a.m. on days when classes and offices are to be closed or if hours are changed. Call this line at any time with questions about possible closures, delays, or any other emergencies.
