Those nominating Covey said:
"Technologically inventive" is one way Terri Covey's colleagues perceive her. As a web support specialist in the Multi- media and Instructional Support Department, Covey designs and creates web-based and database solutions that provide support to various program, administrative, and instructional goals of the university. Covey has worked successfully with a wide variety of groups and individuals at Central, and her work is much in demand. And even though she's busy, her work is consistently accurate, neat, and thorough-a product of her attention to detail and desire to produce the very best product. One example of this work is her role as webmaster to www.pelinks4u.org, an online magazine for physical education, health, nutrition, and fitness professionals. The magazine, published by Central faculty member Steve Jefferies, is highly regarded in the health education fields, and its national recognition is in part due to Covey's efforts and skill. She has made significant contributions to her own department as well. For example, after carefully listening to her co-workers' needs, Covey created a way for them to respond to interactive video instruction problems by creating a workflow database that allows them to efficiently track, report, and repair malfunctions to the video system. One nominator describes Covey as a "wonderful asset to Central."
