The Washington State Whistleblower Program helps maintain accountability and integrity for citizens of the state.  It is a proven tool that protects employees.  By working together, state government improves and we increase the public’s confidence in our work.

The Washington State Whistleblower Act (RCW 42.40) encourages employees of the State of Washington to disclose improper governmental actions.

Please see Whistleblower 2016 for the definition of improper government actions, confidentiality provisions, and where to report violations.  Also, the Washington State Auditor's Office provides the following Whistleblower FAQ.
