Remaining Programs for Fall Quarter 2012

Passport Programs: The following programs are part of the passport program system. If you attend and have your passport stamped you could be eligible for prizes. Attend 3-4 programs win a small prize, attend 5+ programs and win a grand prize. Questions? Ask an RA during office hours.

  • Pardon My French - Monday November 5th @ 7:00 pm in Wahle #1
    • Learn to say hello, goodbye, and more basic phrases in multiple languages. There will be free snacks and good conversation!
  • Rep' Your Culture - Wednesday November 7th @ 6:30 pm meet @ Wahle #1
    • Wear clothes from your culture and attend the Parade of Nations with your fellow Wahle dwellers. we will be meeting at Wahle #1 at 6:00 pm and walking to the SURC in a group.
  • Tasty Temptations - Wednesday November 14th at 7:00 pm in Wahle #1
    • Potluck style! Bring a dish from your culture, or just your favorite dish, and taste foods from different cultures. If you aren't able to bring a dish that is okay! Join us and we will make sure you eat.
  • Japanese Culture Night - Monday November 19th @ 7:00 pm in the Student Village Multipurpose Room
    • Enjoy authentic Japanese food and learn about the Japanese culture. This program will be put on by Josiah Benson in collaboration with a few students. 
  • Tis' the Season - Tuesday November 20th @ 7:00 pm in Wahle #1
    • Learn about and celebrate holidays that are celebrated around the world. Free Food!
  • Just Dance! - Monday November 26th at 7:00 pm in the Student Village Multipurpose Room
    • Learn to do dances from different cultures. ALSO, play Dance Central on the Kinect.

REMINDERS:

  • Don't forget your keys! Did you know that if you get locked out three or more times you will be documented and could have to have a meeting with the Residence Hall Coordinator? Save everyone some time and remember your keys!
  • The laundry room is a shared space. Keep it clean :)
    • If you bring it in, bring it out.
    • Throw trash in the appropriate receptacle. 
    • Don't leave clothes in machines for longer than 15 minutes after the completion of the cycle.

Parking for Thanksgiving/ Winter Break:

  •   Thanksgiving Break
    o   You can begin parking in N-19 LOT ONLY without a permit starting on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at 12:00 p.m. - No permit needed
    o   Your vehicle must be moved by Monday, November 26, 2012, at 6 a.m. - CWU permit needed
     Winter Break
    o   You can begin parking in N-19 LOT ONLY without a permit starting on Thursday, December 06, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. - No permit needed
    o   Your vehicle must be moved by Wednesday, January 02, 2013, at 6 a.m. - CWU permit needed
  • Take anything of value out of your car that might attract attention. Vehicle theft is often a crime of opportunity. There are steps you can take to help prevent vehicle theft and prowls. Never leave your keys in the vehicle, your car running, or a duplicate key on the outside of your vehicle. Completely close all your windows and lock your doors every time. The police will be doing extra checks of the N19 lot to reduce the likelihood of break-ins.
