Move-Out 2020

Move-Out is Here!

On-Campus Residence Hall Students with items in their room:

To keep with physical distancing practices, students will need to sign up for an available move-out timeslot through their MyHousing portal.  The Spring 2020 move out experience will have several unique restrictions in order to keep students, families, and staff safe.  Dining Services will be closed after June 13th.  Please refer to the dining website for more information regarding your dining plan.

    Checking out of your room

When you arrive to campus during your scheduled check out time your first step is to go to your residence hall.  Your access card and keys will work for your building and room at the time of your check out.  A checklist will be placed on all resident doors that outlines specific items that must be done before leaving for the summer.  Please refer to this checklist for specific items in your residence hall.  In general, all students must return their room to move-in condition, and make certain the following is done before leaving for break:

    • All University furniture is in the room
    • Remove all personal belongings and personal furniture
    • Remove all trash and recycling to the outside receptacles
    • Clean room as best as you can
    • Close and lock all windows
    • Close drapes/blinds and turn off all lights
    • Check your mail and take your bike home
    • Fill out and complete your Express Check-Out envelope and leave your key(s) in it
    • Lock doors

    Current On-Campus Residence Hall Students:

Residents need to move out of their room by noon, Saturday, June 13, 2020. Residents will complete an Express Check-Out form as their formal check-out.  Residence halls will close at noon on Saturday, June 13, 2020 for all residents. No one will be allowed to stay in the residence halls after this time. Residents who have been approved to stay for summer housing will be given further instructions as to how and when to move.  The dining center will also close on the 13th so please plan accordingly.  Please contact housing@cwu.edu or 509-963-1831 for questions.
