Michael Carroll

September 4, 2019, Ellensburg, Wash. – Housing and Residence Life conceptualizes their vision for their new department structure with the addition of Lisa LaPlant, Fiona Corner, and Michael Carroll. Both Lisa LaPlant as the new Assistant Director of Housing Services and Fiona Corner as the Assistant Director of Leadership and Development have brought a robust breadth of knowledge from their former positions as coordinators. Michael Carroll comes from Oregon State University with seven years’ experience in higher education and student affairs.

Director of Housing Operations and Marketing, Micheal Seraphin, said, “I am really excited to have Lisa at the helm as the Assistant Director of Housing Services.  Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from various type of positions from across the country.  She has a great passion to help us make sure the processes we have in place are not additionally burdensome to our students.  I am also really excited to see the take-off of our Marketing department under Lisa’s leadership, and how that will help our students tell their CWU story.”

Director of Residence Life, Ian Miller, said, “It has been exciting to see Fiona Corner grow into the Assistant Director of Leadership and Development role as she has previously served as our Leadership and Development Coordinator and Residence Hall Coordinator.” “I am truly excited to have the opportunity to work with Michael Carroll who will be able to assist in developing our Residential Curriculum Model, move our Living Learning Communities forward, and then assess everything we do.”

Housing and Residence Life is so enthusiastic about the leadership we will have in the upcoming school year. As this department develops and grows, the work and vision these Assistant Directors create will move the team forward.
