Vince Nethery - Student Centered Research

In the 20 years I have been at CWU, I have been associated with about 50 research paper presentations at national and international meetings and another 50 paper presentations at regional or state meetings of relevant professional associations. While this level of research is extensive, of more importance is the mentoring of students in the research process and the encouragement of them to actively participate in professional meetings.

About 60% of all research papers presented at the highest level, involved students to a significant degree. An even higher involvement of student research is noted in the research papers presented at regional and state meetings. These tend to be smaller and less intimidating and about 75% of these involved students as the primary author and presenter.

Following is a list of research papers that involved students as primary authors or co-authors at professional meetings. The student names are highlighted.
