Our Food Science and Nutrition Major prepares you for employment or continued study in the field of food and nutrition. Nutrition explores how the nutrients in the food we eat support our bodies in growth and development. In this program, you are encouraged to attach a minor that would complement your education and desired future. A major in nutrition can be transferred to a nursing program if specific classes are fulfilled.
“We’re no longer talking about drugs; instead, we talk about the many health benefits that come from eating the right foods... the key is we’re already beginning to see more positive outcomes. There’s a growing body of evidence that this approach works.”
-David Gee, PhD, Food Science and Nutrition
